OG '93 TYPEFACE

Custom Blackletter Calligraphy Typeface

Starting with a parallel pen I took the time to spell out the alphabet several times chosing the best represented letter from each set. I then cut out and scanned each letter, symbol and glyph individually so they could be vectorized. Once that was finished I took the time to shape each letter to compliment the next using a combination of the pen tool in illustrator and finally dialing in the kearning in Font Forge. I spent time on the kearning to the extent that even the capital letters can be used side by side without distrupting the balance of a classic blackletter typeface. The font features multipe ligatures with 2 sets of lower case letters and several capital alternates. It features over 20 different recognized currencies with a full set of numerals. The font took over 300 hours to complete, so I appreciate the support. Making a font is extremely time-consuming and not soemthing I recommend unless you are a letter enthusiast and calligraphy artist like me.
